4 Key Learnings from Transform

Transform is the must-attend event for People professionals and WorkTech innovators, and WorkRamp was in Las Vegas last week for all the action.

Transform was more than just a conference; it was an opportunity to meet thought leaders, customers, and partners.

From hosting engaging events like our happy hour with Lattice and Greenhouse to our live podcast with Melanie Naranjo, VP of People at Ethena, it was a fun and memorable experience, and we can’t wait to go back next year!

Amidst the buzz and excitement, we walked away with invaluable insights shaping the future of HR and People Operations.

Here are four key lessons we learned:

1. The evolving role of CHROs

Gone are the days when CHROs were confined to traditional HR tasks.

Today, they’re evolving into strategic leaders with skills comparable to COOs and CFOs. The modern CHRO or Chief People Officer (CPO) is adept at managing HR operations and possesses a deep understanding of business dynamics.

CHROs drive organizational efficiency and effectiveness through their enhanced business acumen.

2. HR professionals need support too

While HR professionals are often seen as the backbone of an organization, they also face immense pressure dealing with HR cases, layoffs, and other people-related challenges. It’s imperative to recognize that they need support too.

“I wrote about terminations and how much they suck from the HR perspective. I just said this is not fun for us. I know it might feel like we’re cold and heartless and it doesn’t matter to us. It’s horrible, but we’re not talking about it because it’s not about us; it’s about this employee who’s going through a 10x worse experience than we are.”

-Melanie Naranjo, VP of People, Ethena

It’s crucial to provide HR and People teams with the necessary resources, tools, and supportive work environment for maintaining their morale and well-being.

3. The power of partnerships

As the HR technology landscape evolves, integration among various systems is becoming increasingly important.

HR leaders are seeking deeper partnerships and integrations between their key platforms, including HRIS, Learning Management Systems, Talent Acquisition, and Workforce Planning tools.

Seamless integration facilitates a cohesive experience for HR teams, enabling them to streamline processes and drive better outcomes.

Reducing complexity through consolidation is one of our goals at WorkRamp. That’s why the Learning Cloud integrates with the tools your teams are already using like BambooHR, Rippling, Zoom, and more.

4. Navigating the AI landscape

AI holds the potential to revolutionize HR processes, from recruitment to employee engagement and beyond. However, organizations are still in the early stages of understanding how AI fits into their long-term strategies.

HR leaders are exploring AI solutions that deliver tangible wins for their executive teams and align with their organizational values.

Transform was more than just a conference; it was a platform for collaboration, innovation, and collective growth. As we reflect on our experience, we’re reminded of the potential within the HR community to drive positive change and create impactful solutions for the future of work.

We can’t wait to continue these conversations and see everyone next year at the WorkRamp booth!
